It all began over 40 years ago when Steamboat’s Director of Skiing, Billy Kidd  and six-time All-Around World Champion cowboy, Larry Mahan, decided to invite a few of the Pro-Rodeo stars to Steamboat Springs for a day of skiing. Torchlight Parade

The countdown to New Year’s Eve is here, and in Steamboat Springs the Torchlight Parade presented by the Steamboat Ski and Snowboard Schools is an amazing and one of a kind on-snow parade led down the mountain that is lit only by torches. This event begins on New Year’s Eve at 5:30pm with the parade beginning when the sun goes down.
